En 2010, empec\u00e9 a tomar clases de estudio de las Escrituras y mi mente comenz\u00f3 a abrirse a la Palabra de Dios y a la Historia de la Salvaci\u00f3n que abarca la Biblia. Conoc\u00ed a personas con ideas afines que tambi\u00e9n sent\u00edan curiosidad. Algunos hab\u00edan estudiado las Escrituras durante a\u00f1os y otros eran novatos como yo. Soy cat\u00f3lica de cuna y he asistido fielmente a misa durante d\u00e9cadas, pero probablemente, como usted, crec\u00ed en una \u00e9poca en la que nuestra educaci\u00f3n religiosa no inclu\u00eda el estudio de la Biblia. Lo que no me imaginaba cuando empec\u00e9 mi educaci\u00f3n de adulto era lo mucho que me iba a iluminar las lecturas de la Misa.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

O\u00edmos algunas de las lecturas del Antiguo y del Nuevo Testamento a\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o, por lo que sentimos que las conocemos bien, pero los fragmentos que se leen en misa no revelan lo que condujo a esa escena y lo que le sigue. No explican la conexi\u00f3n entre el Antiguo Testamento y el Nuevo. No comparten informaci\u00f3n sobre los autores y la raz\u00f3n por la que escribieron sus libros o el contexto y el significado hist\u00f3rico de por qu\u00e9 las cosas sucedieron como sucedieron. Tambi\u00e9n hay muchos g\u00e9neros literarios en la biblioteca de libros que contiene la Biblia y cuando los leemos sin comprender sus diferencias, podemos interpretar literalmente lecturas que pretenden ser figurativas y figurativamente aquellos escritos que son literales.<\/p>

Por ejemplo, es importante saber que el G\u00e9nesis no pretende dar una explicaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica de los or\u00edgenes del universo. Utiliza un lenguaje figurado para describir acontecimientos reales que influyeron profundamente en la historia de la raza humana. Tambi\u00e9n en el Nuevo Testamento hay mucho que aclarar. Por ejemplo, el Evangelio de Marcos se escribi\u00f3 primero y es la narraci\u00f3n de Pedro sobre la vida y el ministerio de Jes\u00fas. Mateo escribi\u00f3 para un p\u00fablico jud\u00edo y Juan escribi\u00f3 muchos a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s que los dem\u00e1s, lo que explica por qu\u00e9 no incluye muchos relatos que ya hab\u00edan contado Mateo, Marcos y Lucas.<\/p>

Todos los libros de la Biblia, no importa el g\u00e9nero ni el autor, son escritos divinos inspirados por el Esp\u00edritu Santo. A diferencia de cualquier otro libro, sus palabras est\u00e1n vivas y Dios nos habla personalmente a cada uno de nosotros a trav\u00e9s de ellas. Por eso, las palabras de San Jer\u00f3nimo: \"La ignorancia de las Escrituras es ignorancia de Cristo\", deber\u00edan ser una llamada a la acci\u00f3n para que todos leamos y estudiemos las Escrituras a fin de adquirir la sabidur\u00eda, el consuelo y la instrucci\u00f3n que s\u00f3lo Dios puede proporcionarnos.<\/p>
