Esto inspir\u00f3 su documental titulado \u201cSin l\u00edmites\u201d, el cual investiga c\u00f3mo funciona el cerebro humano y que podemos hacer para vivir mejor y por m\u00e1s tiempo. Vi un par de episodios y aprend\u00ed algunos datos interesantes sobre nuestra mente, y nuestro cuerpo.<\/p><p>En uno de los episodios se investig\u00f3 sobre el dolor y nuestra reacci\u00f3n a el. Hemsworth ha estado lidiando con dolor de espalda cr\u00f3nico y quer\u00eda aprender a manejarlo mejor, de preferencia sin medicamento. En un segmento, un t\u00e9cnico coloc\u00f3 electrodos para inducir el dolor en el est\u00f3mago asi como el de dos de sus amigos. Uno a uno el t\u00e9cnico fue aumentando gradualmente el nivel de dolor, pidi\u00e9ndole al hombre que se detuviera cuando se volv\u00eda muy inc\u00f3modo. El nivel quince fue el m\u00e1s alto; los dos amigos llegaron al nivel siete. Hemsworth se rindi\u00f3 en el nivel tres. El experto explic\u00f3 que cuando nos acostumbramos a adormecer el dolor con medicamentos, nos cuesta mucho m\u00e1s tolerarlo incluso niveles bajos de dolor.<\/p><p>En la siguiente escena, metieron a los mismos tres hombres en una habitaci\u00f3n con un juego de Jenga. Segu\u00edan conectados a la m\u00e1quina que les induc\u00eda el dolor. A medida que avanzaban, desafiantemente mientras jugaban, el t\u00e9cnico aumentaba gradualmente el nivel de dolor. Todos re\u00edan, gritaban de dolor y saltaban al rededor de la mesa. Al terminar la sesi\u00f3n, el t\u00e9cnico anunci\u00f3 que todos hab\u00edan logrado alcanzar el nivel quince. La diferencia se deb\u00eda a que no ten\u00edan que soportar el dolor solos. Con su enfoque en la competencia, las risas y hasta los gritos, sus mentes y cuerpos pod\u00edan distraerse del dolor.<\/p><p>Este estudio monitore\u00f3 el dolor f\u00edsico, pero claramente, el dolor emocional y espiritual responden de la misma manera. Si sufrimos y elegimos aislarnos y reprimir nuestro sufrimiento, el dolor viene a ser peor. Mientras que cuando compartimos nuestras vidas con personas afines que nos permiten expresarnos y nos ayudan a encontrarle humor a nuestro dolor, podemos tolerar mucho m\u00e1s. !
