Recientemente, escuch\u00e9 una de las homil\u00edas del obispo Robert Barron en “Los Dones del Esp\u00edritu Santo”. Cada ma\u00f1ana, oro al Esp\u00edritu Santo y le pido por su regalo del d\u00eda usando la oraci\u00f3n que hemos distribu\u00eddo en la iglesia. El de el Mi\u00e9rcoles, es la Fortaleza y pensaba que ten\u00eda un buen entendimiento de la definici\u00f3n de \u00e9ste, pero la ense\u00f1anza del obispo Barron sobre este don, nos lleva m\u00e1s profundamente a por qu\u00e9 la Fortaleza es esencial para los disc\u00edpulos de Cristo.\u00a0<\/p>

El explica,\u00a0 “En este mundo hacer lo correcto siempre ser\u00e1 dif\u00edcil. Hacer lo correcto en este mundo fallido, este mundo fallido y conflictivo, siempre tendr\u00e1 un costo. Siempre incluir\u00e1 algo como dificultades. Alguien va a querer frustrar, creemelo. Y entre m\u00e1s caminas en el camino del Se\u00f1or, m\u00e1s debes esperar esta oposici\u00f3n. Y por lo tanto, todo aquel que trate de vivir de acuerdo a la voluntad de Dios, necesitar\u00e1 el don del coraje, de la fortaleza. Es un sacramento fortalecedor, y la fortaleza es el coraje que necesitamos para caminar el camino del Se\u00f1or”.\u00a0<\/p>

Yo he internalizado que la fortaleza es m\u00e1s como resistencia. Es, probablemente, eso tambi\u00e9n, pero no he pensado que sea\u00a0 coraje. Esta definici\u00f3n deber\u00e1 refinar nuestra visi\u00f3n en cuanto a expectativas y responsabilidades de nosotros mismos como Cristianos. No estamos llamados solamente a resistir nuestras vidas en este mundo roto,o\u00a0 estar “bien lo suficiente” para llegar al purgatorio en camino al cielo. Estamos llamados a ser h\u00e9roes, para seguir a Cristo, no s\u00f3lo cuando las cosas son f\u00e1ciles, sino cuando encontramos oposici\u00f3n – especialmente<\/em> cuando experimentamos oposici\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/p>

Todos nosotros sufrimos tentaciones de tomar el camino f\u00e1cil o sentarnos en la cerca a mirar a los dem\u00e1s tomar riesgos; pero los h\u00e9roes no evitan los retos, y todos tenemos la capacidad para ser h\u00e9roes. Los h\u00e9roes usan sus superpoderes para apoyar su deseo de hacer el bien. La fortaleza es nuestro superpoder y el coraje que proporciona nos apoya en todo lo que Dios nos llama a hacer, sea de salud, o de asuntos familiares, defender nuestra fe o, simplemente, decir la oraci\u00f3n de gracias en un restaurante. Como dice el obispo Barron, hacer lo correcto siempre tendr\u00e1 un costo – pero como cualquier cosa de valor, puede traer la m\u00e1s grande satisfacci\u00f3n y recompensa tambi\u00e9n.\u00a0<\/p>
