In this gospel, Jesus feels pity for the crowd. At this time the Jewish leaders had no cares, no leadership and were subjected to the Romans. It was easy for people to fall into sin. Jesus sends out the 12 he choose by name with the power to heal and cast out demons. We need to pray for more shepherds since there is a lack of vocations. Listen and learn.
