Fr. Richard Gill

Fr. Gill grew up in Hicksville, Long Island, and graduated from St. John’s University in Queens in 1981 with a degree in Philosophy and a Master’s in Theology.   He entered religious life that year and was ordained a priest by Pope John Paul II on January 3, 1991, at St. Peter’s Basilica.   He earned a Licentiate in Moral Theology from Regina Apostolorum and a Licentiate in Philosophy from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.  His assignments as a priest in the Washington, DC area for the next 14 years were running retreats and marriage preparation and offering spiritual direction at Our Lady of Bethesda Retreat Center in Bethesda, MD.   He was the first president of the Institute for Psychological Sciences, which began in 2002 (now Divine Mercy University) in Northern Virginia.   Between 2005 and 2009, he was the Director of Our Lady of Mt. Kisco Retreat Center in Westchester.  In 2010, he joined the Archdiocese of New York and served at St. Barnabas in the Bronx.   He has been pastor of St. Lawrence O’Toole and Sacred Heart since 2015.  

Fr. Osvaldo Hernandez

Fr. Osvaldo Hernandez was born in Santiago de Los Caballeros, Dominican Republic in 1987 and ordained in 2018 for the Archdioceses of New York. He is the son of immigrants from the Dominican Republic. Fr. Hernandez received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and two minors in Theology and Spanish Literature at St. John’s University in 2014. He also received a Master’s in theology at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie, in 2018.  Fr. Hernandez served as a parochial vicar of St. Peter’s and St. Mary’s of the Assumption Parish in Haverstraw as his first assignment.  Fr. Hernandez has been a parochial vicar of St. Lawrence O’Toole and Sacred Heart Parish in Brewster since July 1, 2023.
