My name is Brittany Gauriloff and I am the Director of the Early Childhood Learning Center. I invite you to come and take a tour of our center, see our programs in action, and meet some of our staff. Mrs. Gauriloff holds a BA in Psychology and a Child Development Associate Credential. She began her career as a Mental Health Worker at Four Winds Hospital. She is a lifelong parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac. At St. John’s she has been a 2nd-grade catechist for the past 11 years, served on the parish council, and created and facilitated the Tiny Tots at Jesus’ House program.
Mrs. Gauriloff was introduced to the ECLC as a parent in 2017 and her heart has been here since. Her career at St. Lawrence O’Toole began with facilitating the Just the Two of Us program, then at the ECLC as a teacher aide, music teacher, and eventually a head classroom teacher. Watching the children of St. Lawrence learn and grow is her privilege each and every day! When not at school, she loves reading a good book, traveling, and most importantly spending time with her husband and two sons. Stop by the office for a hello or high-five any time!
Mrs. Brewer is in her third year at St. Lawrence O’Toole ECLC in the Pre-K 3’s program. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Providence College. She lives in Brewster with her husband and her three children who all attended St. Lawrence ECLC.
In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling and watching her children play sports. Mrs. Brewer loves helping the children grow into kind friends and independent students.
Patty Cusanelli has worked in the childcare field for more than eighteen years. She and her husband have raised two daughters here in Brewster. She has been very involved in the community coaching multiple teams in multiple sports. Ms. Patty currently sits on the board of Brewster’s youth lacrosse league. She graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
Mrs. Feehan has been with St. Lawrence O’Toole Early Childhood Learning Center for 14 years, since the school’s opening in 2009. She has worked in both the Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 programs.
Mrs. Feehan holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Bonaventure University where she majored in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Education.
She is a parishioner of St. Lawrence O’Toole and has been involved in the parish/school for close to 30 years. She resides in Brewster with her husband and has 4 children. She loves working with 3 and 4-year-old children because you can witness so much growth in one year. Her special talents include constructing creative bulletin boards and turning little handprints into works of art.
Sra. Fisher teaches Spanish here at the ECLC and assists wherever needed. She received her degree from SUNY New Paltz and taught in the Carmel school district for 35 years. Sra. Fisher has taught Spanish at St. Lawrence for 11 years and when she is here with the children on jueves (Thursday) it is her favorite day of the week!
Ms. Hill has her Bachelor and Master degrees from Manhattanville College in New York. Her undergraduate degree was focused in business management but she soon learned that working with children was her true calling. She went back to school for her graduate studies in education. She is a CT state-certified teacher. Stephanie has worked in public school as a paraprofessional, building substitute, and special education teacher. Currently, she teaches PreK 3 part-time at a Catholic School in NY and recently started to work as an RBT helping to support families and children with autism.
Ms. Maria is a teachers aide, morning care, and lunch bunch teacher at the Early Childhood Learning Center since 2018. Ms. Maria is a parishioner of St. Lawrence O’Toole, a babysitter, and a mentor to her many cousins and younger siblings.
Ms. Maria enjoys doing many different crafts with the children, hearing their ideas and loves seeing how they express their imaginations!
Mrs. Nastasi was a teacher for 28 years before coming out of retirement to join our staff as a Pre-K 4 teacher in September of 2012. Mrs. Nastasi taught Kindergarten for 14 years, First Grade for 7 years and Reading for 7 years at John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Brewster. She also taught 5 th and 6 th Grade Science for 2 years here at St. Lawrence and taught 4 years of Math in various Middle Schools in Texas, Carmel and Pleasantville. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Western Connecticut State College and received her Masters in Education from Cambridge College.
Lorena Oktrova has lived in NY for 14 years and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Tirana. Ms. Lori has always worked with children in various ways, such as babysitting, as well as several internships in daycare centers. She absolutely loves working with children and it has always been a passion of hers. Ms. Lori has been at the ECLC for over four years and is excited about working with your child. Ms. Lori is married and has a wonderful child. When not at school Ms. Lori loves to be outdoors, hiking, swimming, and playing sports. She also enjoys music, reading, cooking, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Salvo has been with ECLC since 2017. She has been a practicing Catholic her entire life, attending Catholic school for both elementary and high school. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Fordham University.
She has been married for over 20 years and has raised two boys who have gone through the Brewster schools and now go to Penn State.
Before having children, Mrs. Salvo worked in various Human Resources and Compensation roles over the years both in corporate and in higher education. When asked to join ECLC in 2017, it was a great way for her to get back into the workforce.
Mrs. Salvo loves working at ECLC and seeing all the children and families come through our doors each year. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, cooking, reading, and just spending quiet nights at home.
Mrs. Clara Segretti has worked at the ECLC for six years. She has volunteered as a catechist for over 20 years teaching various grades and helping with the Family Program at St. Lawrence O’Toole.
Mrs. Clara began her career as a bank supervisor and auditor. She decided to leave banking to become a stay-at-home mom. She loves working with children which has always been a passion for her. When Mrs. Clara isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family. She loves the beach, gardening, and traveling with her husband in their RV.
Ms. Robin is the art teacher at the Early Childhood Learning Center, office assistant, and substitute when needed. Ms. Robin holds a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from SUNY Cortland. She taught the three-year-olds at Sunshine Preschool for six years and was the director and four-year-old teacher at Brewster Co-op for fifteen years. This is Ms. Robin’s second year at the ECLC and she loves teaching the children!
Ms. Robin is married and raised her two children here in Brewster. Both of her children have married and have two of their own children, making Ms. Robin a very proud grandmother!
Ms. Robin loves gardening, cooking, exercising, and music and she can not wait to work with your children!
Nancy Tucker holds a BA in English from Marist College. Prior to having her children, Nancy was the Children’s Services Director at Mahopac Library.
She has a long history with St. Lawrence O’Toole School as her children spent PreK through Eighth Grade here. After her youngest entered 9th grade at Kennedy Catholic Nancy decided to reenter the workforce. Combining her love of books and children she became Mrs. Nastasi’s aide in PreK 4. They have been the dynamic duo for 10 years and counting. Nancy also oversees the children’s art exhibits
and book collections in the school library. She can also be found at her other job at Dover Plains Library where she is also surrounded by books and children! Her free time is spent with her family, especially her grandson Ryan Thomas.
Mrs. Tucker loves it when former students come back to visit and share their memories of PreK 4 and also their new experiences in the “big kids” school!
