Writing with spirit is what separates ordinary works from extraordinary. This workshop will begin by guiding teen writers in spiritual journaling. They’ll look at sample texts from the spiritual journals of the saints, then use their own prayer experiences to begin or deepen their journaling practice. Students will begin to recognize the stories they are meant to tell and then develop their ideas into finished works. Includes refreshments.
Tuesday: Sarah Cortez, our guest writer from Houston, TX, and founder of Catholic Literary Arts is passionate about helping our youth learn to express themselves through writing and build a Catholic imagination of curiosity and joy.
Wednesday – Friday: Louisa Burns-Bisogno is an award-winning screenwriter, director, author, and international media consultant. She is also a professor and mentor at Western Connecticut University and a dedicated Secular Franciscan. She credits her love for God for her decades of success.
