Great Catholic writers in all genres have influenced and inspired the hearts and minds of society for over 2000 years. Join us to listen to a selection of great writings by Catholic authors and saints centered on the daily life-affirming peace and joy experienced by followers of Christ. The content will be uplifting, wholesome, and thought-provoking. Includes Q&A with Sarah Cortez and refreshments.

Sarah Cortez, a professional educator, has been traditionally published by literary presses and won awards for many of her 14 books. As a woman of deep faith, she was inspired to found Catholic Literary Arts(CLA), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting writers of faith intellectually, spiritually, and through augmentation of writing skills. She is a joyful witness of being Catholic in today’s world and will be traveling from Houston, Texas to offer several workshops here at St. Lawrence/ Sacred Heart.
