This week’s gospel takes place in Peter’s house with the healing of his mother-in-law. Jesus heals her from a fever and she gets up to serve them. Later, Jesus heals others and expells demons. He is the one with the answers. Then he goes off to pray. He is with the Father and the Holy Spirit, listening to where they are leading him next. Prayer makes him obedient and allows him to move on to other towns to do the will of the Father.
