This weekend is Corpus Christi. Fr. Rich takes the reading from First Corithians because it speaks of the Eucharist and the early Church. St. Paul shares the Eucharistic faith of the early Church around 51 -52 AD before the gospels are written. The sacredness of this letter focuses on the same words we hear in the Eucharistic prayers said at every Mass today. Therefore, the Eucharist is the true body and blood of Christ.
