In this gospel passage, Nicodemus comes to Jesus at night and he says quotes a verse from the Old Testament. It was during the journey from Egypt to the promised land and the people were complaining to Moses that there was no food or water. Moses is told to lift a golden serpent on a cross and it foreshadows Jesus’s own death and our salvation. Listen and learn.
